My name is Fabio Nierhoff. I was born on May 14th, 1999 in Munich, Germany. At the age of 9 months, my family moved to the United States. I started my education at the German School of New York, which I attended from Kindergarden to 8th Grade. Before 9th grade, I tranferred to Whire Plains High School, where I will graduate in June 2017. I plan to study either Computer Science or Chemical Engineering after graduating.
My hobbies include playing soccer, swimming, and snowboarding. I've been on both the varsity swim team (4 years; 2 year captain; All-League) and the varsity soccer team (1 year; starting goalkeeper). I also do club swimming with the BGNW Marlins. Snowboarding has always been a passion of mine since I transitioned from skiing at the age of 12. I go on trips during the winter with my father. So far we've been to Vermont, New Jersey, Colorado, Germany, and Austria. Engineering has been a focus of mine since I was a child. It's progressed from playing with Legos, to spending hours building structures in Minecraft, to building robots in class. I have great joy in solving various problems and I want to do it for a career. |
